Experience of Tada Falls

Tada falls is a good adventure spot which is located in Nellore District in Andhra Pradesh. Commercialization of this place hasn't begun till date. So, it is still a nice spot for trekking without the usual buzz of people and shops surrounding you. Locally the falls is called "Ubbalamadugu falls". Remember this name as it can come in handy if you are lost. Actually, just saying "falls' might do, but why take chances.

It’s a place where I really wanted to go during the weekends but had to drop every time without a companion. But this time I got companion and real good companion, I and my 3 office colleague out of whom one was my school friend cum colleague, decided to go Tada fall and reach the main fall. We decided to go there using Bike ride. So the trip begins :)

Started @ 8.00 AM, sunday after a sound breakfast, with liter water, Bear and some cash. On our way we went to Kalki temple, very beautiful completely white building, we rested there for few minutes,  it was really quite and serene place and again set for our venture and reached the Tada parking lot exactly at 12:00 PM. We had to pay 50 + 50 at the entrance as fee for 2 wheeler and a camera. With a backpack, head out to enter the steel bridge which leads to the falls. While trekking we stopped in a tree watch tower and after sometime again we started our venture listening to the music of nature It’s a fairly easy trek till we reach a Siva temple which was at half way down the line. This is the point where most would stop to go no further because the trek ahead will get tougher and tougher.
After this point there is no proper path and you have to rely on the direction shown by a few people who are around the Siva Temple. You have to cross the stream and then look for a path. You will find a small clearing and this might help you on the way forward. From here on, the trek starts to become difficult. You encounter rocks and millipedes on those rocks on the way forward. (Remember to listen for the stream from this point on. This would be very helpful.)
After this point we had to trek on the rocks, boulders and logs to go upstream towards the falls. We stopped for few moments at a point (first fall) as we could not proceed further without a rope or some serious trekking tools. Rested for few minutes we had our bear & food that we packed while starting our journey, played in falls and again started further to reach the second Fall, this time it was really tougher and because of walking on the rocky boulder my legs were completely in pain, so we decided not to go any further as it was already 4 PM, so we rested for few minutes and started our reverse journey
It was a good trek to start end the weekend with fresh soul and refreshed body but want to visit again so that I can reach the main fall.

My Visit to Pondichery

It was my first trip to Pondy along with my 3 friends. It was a one day trip from Chennai to Pondy. We hired a Cab and it took around 2.5 hours to reach pondichery. On our way we visited Tigers Cave.
Now this post isn't anything about our journey, it's all about a little adventure I did coz I still experience the sound of waves so loud, clear and wild in my ears.
The first place we went was Auroville. It was pleasant silent and serene. Auroville is meant to be a universal town where men and women of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony, above all creeds, all politics and all nationalities. The purpose of Auroville is to realize human unity. We saw the Golden Globe a amazing architecture.
From there we went to see French colony, we walked through the French area checking out the buildings, Church and the rocky sea-side. After that we went for lunch @ Le – Club. Awesome sea food, sizzlers and great old French Red wine.

From French colony we started for Paradise beach. We hired a boat to reach the paradise beach. We rode the boat and via backwater we reached our destination that is Paradise beach. We had nice time there. We threw each other in sea. We played there for hour or two . Then we had a ride in Jetski boat.
Then @ around 6 PM we started for Chennai. On our way we had dinner @  ECR dhaba. Tasted Punjabi food Chennai. In the entire journey the bad part was climate, it was hot but the trip was worth because of friend, food and beautiful place.

My Visit to Nagrhole

My first  trip to the jungle and I ended up going to the amazingly dense and beautiful  forests of Nagarhole.  It was a two day trip. We started off from Bangalore, it took us about 5-6 hours to reach the forest. Me and group of 2 amazingly good friends hit the road in a comfortable  car that we booked from one of the Cab center in Bangalore.

We stayed in the middle of the Jungle in a Swiss Tent. After reaching the resort we got freshen and immediately started for our jungle venture.

We were very excited about taking in all the sights in and around Nagarhole. Our first visit was to the Wildlife sanctuary. Sadly, all I could spot were deer and elephant nothing else.  Next visit was to the tea and coffee estate, the estate was fabulous, reminded me of my homeland Assam, with the misty clouds, and undulating hills.

After our trip to jungle, coffee  and Tea estate, we came back to  our resort. There they arranged bonfire and tribal dance followed by a jungle story movie of nagarhole followed by awesome dinner. Then we 3 friend had nice moonlight walk and booze.

On the second day, we headed to the Irupu Falls. It is a long trek to the falls but quite worth it. After taking bath(natural Jacuzzi) in Irupu falls i felt completely freshen up. All tiredness of trekking to the top vanished.

Lastly, we went for white water Rafting, which was a amazing experience. We had 4 hurdle in the rafting course. In the middle of rafting our guide asked us to jump to the river, i was scared as i didnot knew swimming, but the life jacket and my friend boosted my confident and i jumped to the river. it was awesome( cant describe in word).

I will always cherish the moments that i have spent in Nagarhole and I would surely like to visit it once again.
